Christmas Blues As a Struggling Mama

It's that time of year that if you have more than 1 child, you probably dread. Yeah I know the common thoughts of most people. Didn't nobody tell you to have all those kids. But they are taken care of to the best of my abilities. I'm disabled. So I don't make a lot of money. My husband works, but he just doesn't seem to make enough to take care of the bills that we have. No we don't have fancy cars. I drive and old Suburban and he drives a 1970 Ford truck that he inherited. My kids have laptops but they are from school. The basic bills of lights, water, and gas are essential to run a household. When my husband lost his job back in July, we fell way behind and honestly, things got pawned and some things got caught up. But he found a job by August and we are slowly, finally, catching up. But when you know you work hard, and you do the best you can, as a mother you feel inadequate and depressed when you can't get your kids what they want for Christmas. No, it's not about the gifts, it's about Christ. But we also know that we teach our kids about Santa Claus, and until about the ages of 8-10, they believe in him. All I want is for my kids to have a good Christmas, not a fancy one, but at least give them a few things that they have been wanting that I haven't had the chance to provide. Gotta have faith, you never know what can happen in 10 days!!
